What Is Food Delivery Platform Integration? How to Cut Commissions
5-minute read · Prepared by the Orderly team
What is integration, and why do you need it?
Food delivery platform integration means orders from platforms such as Yemeksepeti, Getir Yemek, Trendyol Yemek and Migros Yemek drop into your POS software automatically. Without integration, staff monitor each platform's own panel separately and enter each order into the software by hand. At peak times, that means delayed orders, missed orders and wrongly entered items.
What should a good integration include?
- Orders should come through complete with the customer's name, address, items and notes
- Orders paid online shouldn't be charged again at the till
- Orders should be accepted automatically if you want
- When the courier delivers, the status on the platform side should move forward too
- The same order should be prevented from coming in twice
- Platform sales should appear separately in reports
With Orderly, the integrations for all four platforms are included in the license; there's no per-platform fee.
The real issue: commission
Platform commissions are in the 22–37% range. A business doing 100,000 ₺ a month in platform revenue pays 30,000 ₺ a month in deductions at 30% commission — 360,000 ₺ a year. Platforms bring in new customers; the problem isn't being on a platform, it's all of your orders coming from platforms.
The solution: build your own ordering channel
Customers who already know you don't need to order through a platform. With Orderly, a dedicated ordering link and a fixed QR code come with your license. You put this link on your Instagram profile, your Google Business Profile and your delivery bags; the customer enters their address and the order drops straight into your delivery screen. There's no commission on orders from this channel.
A simple goal: if you move just a quarter of your platform revenue to your own channel, in the example above 90,000 ₺ a year in commission stays in your pocket. The system's annual fee is 8,500 ₺ + VAT — the math speaks for itself.
Speed up phone orders too
A large share of delivery orders still come in by phone. With caller ID, when the phone rings the customer's name and saved addresses appear on screen; a bill with the address already filled in opens with one tap. In Orderly, this works on both mobile lines (with Android) and landlines (with a device).
